How to Repair Scratches in Soapstone

Soapstone scratches are one of the easiest to repair.

For light scratches or marks, use a small piece of 300 grit sandpaper and sand it out.

Apply a small amount of mineral oil to the area that you just sanded and rub it in.

For deeper scratches, use 100 grit sandpaper to remove the scratch and then follow up with the mineral oil application.

  • Mineral oil
  • 100 or 300 grit sandpaper
