How to Repair a Garage Door Once the Emergency Pull Has Been Released

Aug 7, 2009 09:04 PM

Stuck outside? Here are some steps to help you fix your garage door.

Run the electric opener as you would normally.

Watch where the emergency pull comes into contact with the door opener chain. There should be a small hole made for the lock to snap back in.

Push the lock when it is lined up with the hole.

Test the door to make sure it works.

Warnings

  • Be aware that if there is a problem with the door's balance or something else is causing the door not to run smoothly, that reattaching the operator to the door could damage either the door or the operator or even both. If you suspect something is wrong and the door doesn't sound normal, then call your local authorized garage door dealer.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari.
