How to Desolder

If you salvage any electronics parts, you will need to know how to desolder using desoldering braid.

Heat up the soldering iron.

Place the desoldering braid on the joint. Place the tip of the soldering iron on top of it.

Wait until the solder melts and get sucked up by the braid.

Wait for the part that was heated to cool. It will take about 30 seconds.

You're done!

Warnings

  • Soldering Irons are hot!
  • Lead based solder smoke can be very bad for you. Hold your breath.
